On the occasion of 8th of March - International Women's Day, we invite you to join us in celebration of this important date for women's movement.
Women in Black, supported by Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, are organizing a performance entitled "For working women's rights" starting at 12 pm at the Republic Square and a street march from Republic Square to Slavija Square (square Dimitrija Tucovica) on 8th of March, 2011.
After the street march, at 12:30 pm, participants will go to the Center for Cultural Decontamination where scheduled program continues with the power point presentation on the chronology of celebrating the 8th of March in the world, and in some countries (Egyptian women, Tunisian and Yemeni women, and Italian women) and two movies (8th of March 2010 - Women in Black and a short movie about the panel on position of women in Serbian labor market - 2010)
Participants will also have an opportunity to see an exhibition of dresses created by Jovana Dimitrijevic and to hear staged performance of two choirs: Le Whore and Proba/Škart. Our friends and activists from Vlasotince will also participate with their performance.
