As we have done in the past, we are providing you with a short report on the activities of Women in Black in the reporting period.

Street actions: In this reporting period we organized ten (10) actions, and we also actively participated in other street actions:
- commemoration / marking of important dates of crime committed in our name
- feminist, anti-fascist, anti-war, anti-racist, antimilitaristic actions...
Commemoration / marking of important dates of crimes committed in our name, as well as other crimes against civilian population, during and after wars, in the territory of the former Yugoslavia:
Belgrade, February 27th "We Remember the Crime in Strpce" - On the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the crimes in Strpci, Women in Black, Humanitarian Law Center and Youth Initiative for Human Rights organized peace action in black and silence in front of the entrance to the Belgrade Railway Station from 15.48h to 16.4h. From there on February 27th, 1993, a train 671 departed, from which on Strpci station, on the Belgrade - Bar railway, members of the military unit Osvetnici, which operated within the Visegrad Brigade of the Army of the Republika Srpska under the command of a Hague convict Milan Lukic, took out 18 Bosniaks and 1 Croat, took them to the village of Prelovo (Visegrad municipality), where they tortured them, and then killed them. To this day, only the remains of three people were found.
On the peace action, following banners were raised: From here, the train of 671 departed, the train stopped at 15.48h; We remember the crime in Strpci (27.02.1993.-27.02.2017.). Abducted and killed: Esad Kapetanović, Ilijaz Ličina, Fehim Bakija, Šećo Softić, Rifet Husović, Senad Đečević, Ismet Babačić, Halil Zubčević, Adem Alomerović, Muhedin Hanić, Safet Preljević, Džafer Topuzović, Rasim Ćorić, Fikret Memetović, Favzija Zeković, Nijazim Kajević, Zvezdan Zuličić, Jusuf Rastoder, Toma Buzov.
During the action, leaflets in the form of a ticket card with information about the crime were distributed, thirty (30) persons participated
in this peace action.
Prijepolje, February 27th - In front of the memorial plaques in Prijepolje, 24th anniversary of the crime in Strpci was marked. Women’s Voice activists from Priboj, Bonafide from Pljevlja (Montenegro) from the Network of Women in Black, honored the victims of the crimes in Strpci.
Belgrade, April 6th “We Remember 25 Years From the Beginning of the War in Bosnia and Herzegovina” - On the occasion of the anniversary of the beginning of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Women in Black in cooperation with the Autonomous Women’s Center, Dah Theater, Youth Initiative for Human Rights, Women’s Network against Violence, Reconstruction Women’s Fund and the AntiFascist Alliance organized this peace action on the Republic Square.
Fifty (50) activists took part in the action.
The following banners were raised: Let’s remember! ; 25 years since the beginning of the war in BH; April 6th, 1992 - April 6th, 2017; Solidarity; Responsibility, as well as recalling resistance to the war in BH:
Women in Black from April 1992 to February 1996 each week protested against the war in BH wearing black and in silence, at the Republic Square in Belgrade.
Black Ribbon antiwar action was organized by the Civil Resistance Movement on May 31st, 1992 in Belgrade, in which over 100,000 people participated.
1000 days of siege of Sarajevo - 1000 letters for Sarajevo – civil action, May 1995 Belgrade
Sending the Belgrade-Sarajevo packages - a solid civil action from the beginning to the end of the war in BiH
Peace visit 9 -11th April 1995 - For the first time since the beginning of the war in BH, about 40 people from Belgrade visited the besieged city of Sarajevo.
During this peace action – a performance “25 years- 25 mirrors“ was performed during which 25 activists took out 25 mirrors on which on black ribbons were wrote names of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where war crimes happen: Srebrenica, Ahmici, Stupni Do, Celebici, Dretelj, Mostar, Luka, Sušica, Manjača, Keraterm, Omarska, Trnopolje, Prijedor, Foča, Višegrad, Zvornik, Brčko, Bijeljina, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Žepa, Goražde, Tuzla, Ključ, Sanski Most.
Belgrade, April 23rd - The activists of Women in Black, on April 23rd in 02.06am joined the families, colleagues and friends of 16 RTS employees who were killed on April 23rd 1999 in 02.06am in NATO attack. On the monument “Why?” in Tašmajdan park in Belgrade, Women in Black, laid flowers with the words “We remember.”
