On the 4th of September, in Belgrade, numerous organisations and individuals held the protest of solidarity with the Roma who have been deported in recent weeks in Romania and Bulgaria, but as citizens of the European Union have the right to reside in the territory of France.Protest walk will start in a peaceful gathering in Belgrade on Saturday 4th September 2010th in Pionirski Park at 2PM; then next stop will be the French Embassy, it will end up in front of the European delegation in Serbia.

French authorities have denied hospitality to hundreds of Roma and made the decision to deport them in the home countries; by that act President Sarkozy has violated law on free movement of citizens of the European Union.

On 4th September in many European cities the similar protests will be held to express solidarity with the deported Roma, and to protest against any serious manifestation of racism against Roma across Europe. On the same day in France, many organizations will gather at the Place de la République in Paris and say "NO" racism, human rights violations and discrimination. This day was chosen as a historical reminder of the French Republic, and benefits that French revolution brought into it, the idea Equality, Brotherhood and Freedom.
Hereby, we are sending to all organizations and individuals a declaration of solidarity in front of the Roma Solidarity Movement, Roma NGOs, representatives of Roma political parties and intellectuals, with the hope that it will help to stop the drastic violation of human rights of Roma and recalled the obligations of the European Union about the respect of all the signed conventions ,declarations and resolutions.
