Women against war and violence against women
March 8, 1993

• Women do not like violence
• Stop rape, war, ethnic cleansing, the destruction of cities and nature, and friendships. We did not choose war—we want to choose peace
• We want a state without soldiers, male or female
I want to see my sister in Zagreb
• We want to get out of the hell and darkness of fascism
• We speak loudly about all threats that frighten us
• We make violence against woment visible
• Men rape women, not their nationality.
• We are not and will not be subjects of a militarist regimepodanice
• Nationalism divides people
• Don’t destroy our children’s childhood
• We are earthly women—we leave the heavenly nation to the men and the militarists
• In war, women’s solidarity is defiance
• When violence against women disapears, there will be no war
• Woman = nation = state, that is not my identity
When men make war, solidarity between women is necessary
• Sarajka, we love you
• We are women by nationality
